This camera is simply awesome. I purchased this as an alternative to my normal full size Canon DSLR and I have not been disappointed. I was a bit shocked when I opened the box at how small the body of this camera is, it's tiny about the size of a cell phone. Still, don't let the size fool you, this thing has a lot of advanced features such as image stabilization, facial recognition, video capture, etc. I often find that a point-and-shoot camera such as this is perfect for situations where you want to grab candid photographs or when carrying a heavy DSLR is not practical. This camera features a large bright LCD screen which makes composing a shot a breeze and a better alternative to the microscopic view finder. The size of this camera can be both a blessing and a curse, on the downside, if you have large hands or fat fingers you may find using the small control buttons a bit difficult. Most importantly, the image quality of this camera is outstanding and is good if not better than a full size DSLR.
