I bought this camera to take to Europe. We wanted something that could take nice pictures AND have the option of video. I took tons of pictures and I'm really happy with them. This camera is tiny, which is great, and the battery lasts a long time (although the video recording does really eat up a lot of the battery). The charger works here and abroad (but you still need a plug adapter--not a voltage converter). That worked well for us too.
